I was invited as a guest with a group to participate in a quail hunt at Rio Piedra. Folks this is a first class, top shelf, 5-star venue. The accommodations, the food, the hunt, the hospitality...all second to none! Thank you Sam & Beth for hosting such an absolutely beautiful operation.

My dad and I thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Rio Piedra in January 2022. The trip was a birthday/Christmas gift for my dad and we couldn’t have had a better time. The lodge is well appointed. We enjoyed watching football on the big screen. The rooms were nice and comfortable. The food was amazing. We definitely did not go hungry! The staff was extremely accommodating. They were always looking for ways to serve and take care of the guests. While everything else was great the hunting was absolutely the best part. Our guide, Josiah, was very knowledgeable, he was able to give us some helpful tips, and his dogs were the best we have ever seen. We saw a TON of birds. We will definitely be back!

Yes! The Department of Natural Resources requires all of our guests to purchase a Shooting Preserve License directly from the State of Georgia before their quail hunting trip. Please visit www.georgiawildlife.com to purchase a Shooting Preserve License.
Unfortunately, quail hunting season is now over at Rio Piedra Plantation. Quail hunting season in Georgia runs from mid-October to mid-March. We are accepting reservations for the next season though!
