Edit 1 year later: My bill went from $150 to $320 after doing NOTHING different? It can't keep going like this. I need a different power company. How do they expect people to afford their power with their "slight increase". Very friendly staff! Every time my husband or I has called about anything, they have always been professional & very helpful! Everything that they have helped us with has been a quick easy process! Thank you Okefenokee Power!

REMC has been there for us. When we have power outages it's usually up within 1-2 hours. In 2017, hurricane wiped out power in NE Florida. 3 1/2 days we had power. Neighbors/Friends who had FPL were out 2-3 weeks. Customer Service is always on top.

I've lived in many rural areas. I have not had issues with this company.

Have been a member of several electric COOP’s OREMC is pretty good! Have not seen the poor customer service that others reported. People have been nice and attentive, All costs for services were emailed to me on a contract and that’s what I paid when having power installed to my home. As for keeping the lights on, about average, as the COOP has less people it takes longer to fix outages, it is normal. I am never a fan of the monthly connection fee but it seems to be the way all Electric COOP’s work. If you are unsatisfied, get involved! You are a member, go to meetings, vote, and make you voice heard! Find you Area Rep and call him day and night, that’s his job. Overall OREMC is a pretty good COOP. It will never have the resources of FPL or GPL but that’s how it is. It will cost more $$ and take longer to fix a problem, but they are not a big Corporation and they do care because they are members also. It’s a cooperative!

Prolly not oremc has us handcuffed
Not sure, I didn't notice if it was. Sorry
You can either call them or go to the office.
They will charge you extra. ...that's what they did to us during our power outage of almost 2 weeks after flood. They was charging us daily 5-9 dollars a day, and the main box way up road was turned off. They reimburse some of it after power was restored. Only way we got the power back on was calling country commission and complaining. The power company had not even been checking water levels to know or care to restore power.
When will my power be back on
