I have never seen cleaner restrooms at a state park. Deer everywhere. Beach area well maintained. Campsites are crowded.

Ok this place was the nicest state park I have ever stayed at. We were there on a Saturday night in July and everyone was respectful. There was free popcorn and a movie. The DNR rangers brought us change without us asking. Santa Claus came around in a golf cart. The bathrooms were very clean and the showers were nice too. The fire rings were the most elaborate I have ever used with swinging grates at two levels. There was a host campsite where you could buy wood. Even the recycling and garbage area was clean and tidy and didn’t smell. We didn’t swim but the beach looked nice. Definitely would recommend.

Very nice campsite, more than affordable tent camping! Super clean restrooms and showers. Great fire rings with grates. We went in May of 2021 - there were tons of RVs but hardly any tent campers, so very peaceful for us.

Only spent a night but this State Park is the best we have stayed at yet. Clean grounds and shower/restrooms. Great hiking trails and super level sites even for a 35' fifth wheel still connected to the truck.

Yes lots of room for tents
Verizon and US Cellular are great. In the past AT&T has been terrible.
Yes that is ture .also Must say really enjoyed my stay out there
Park and camping are open year round. We shut down shower buildings mid to late October. Service to campsites are left on year round also.
We just tagged and paid
Sorry, but Iowa State Parks do not accept senior passes.
Kilroy kayak on Facebook rents kayaks at the park.
They are not allowed.
Yes
I stayed there two weeks ago, drove up on a Sunday evening and there were plenty of open spots. We got one with electric hook ups and I think it was $13. If I'm remembering correctly , a basic site was $11. Nice park.
Holidays usually fill early in week. Usually by Tuesday electric sites are full.
There are 2 boat ramps at Lake Anita. We are a no-wake lake so must stay under 5 mph.
No cabins
Not sure of the amp service, but a couple with us had a 5th wheeler hooked up. Some lots are just tent lots though.
Yes some spots you can reserve. Just get online to book
You can have 2 tents and up to 6 people per campsite.
No they are not. Only vehicles licensed for highway use are allowed.
Yes and please clean up after your pet. May be a trail but others walk it.
We had two sites reserved and was 22 a night each i believe
