Great while no lifeguards if you want to take a well trained dog for a swim/retrievals practice. Not sure if I'd let children swim in this water without checking with the states bacteria levels.

Bathrooms are substandard with no toilet paper. No life guards and dock is in poor repair... But it's clean and free 🤠

That's weird I've never seen it closed, unless it's after 6pm or before 10am. Or not swimming season. Maybe the town of Smyrna might be to direct you to someone?
