Do you take American flags for proper retirement ceremony? I have some here and we are moving out of AK and need somewhere to take these flags.

Yes, we accept flags for retirement. You can drop them in our flag box anytime we are open. We will respectfully retire the flags by burning annually on Flag Day (June 14th). Join us on that day to participate in this patriotic duty.

Im a vet who has joined the VFW. I stopped by to get help joining. Karaoke guy right by the door sat there as I stood outside. Didnt even acknowledge my presence there. Is this what I can expect from joining a VFW post? No thanks.
