I’ve never been in an Auto Zone before because vehicle stuff has always been daunting, but my car battery died some ways away, so I needed to come, and I was at my wits end. However, my mood shifted entirely upon walking into this store: I was absolutely delighted when I was immediately greeted by Jonathan, who saw the look on my face and immediately cheered me up with a joke! He effectively and actively listened to me using proven listening techniques (which NO retail employee has EVER done with me) and went above and beyond by clocking out, driving me to the location of my car, and giving it a jump start so I can drive back to the store and get it figured out. During the ride, our authentic conversation made it abundantly clear to me that Jonathan is the top of his class when it comes to customer satisfaction. “I just hate to see another driver stranded,” he said. I knew I was in great hands. And when I got back to the store, the excellence did not stop! Brian (Bryan?) also walked me through the decision process, demonstrating that he wasn’t there to upsell me, he was there to make sure I made the best decision for my situation (with the car warrantee). Thomas also exhibited astounding customer service and even gave me a discount since the rewards program sign-up wasn’t working! This is the full story of just how great this store is!
