Dr. Jeffrey Zacko-Smith
While I’ve only had one visit so far … I was listened to attentively and my problem more clearly defined … so I understand it better … which is very valuable. I was manipulated and given some exercises to use at home that seem to be helping. I hope to be able to continue to visit, but it is a bit costly (though I don’t blame him for not dealing with insurance and appreciate the transparent pricing).

I want to thank Dr. Hennenhoefer for taking away my pain in my shoulder. After visiting numerous Doctors with no success he was able to make me feel 100% better after just one hour. His knowledge skills and overall commitment to helping people feel better is just a testament of how special he is. Highly recommend, I would never go anywhere ever again

While I didn't actually receive care form Dr. Hennenhoefer, I can tell from his quick responses to e-mail, offer to phone consult because we are over an hour drive to his office, and willingness to give a referral without even being asked (and thus, he clearly isn't just about making money), I can tell this is a doctor who has great bedside manner, is attentive and really cares about people- I'm not even his patient and he took time for me, and directed me to someone who could help my situation! Thank you!!

Hi Sara! We cannot advise regarding specific cases on this platform, but peripheral neuropathy is usually the result of a systemic problem such as diabetes, vitamin deficiencies, thyroid problems, etc. The best approach to slowing the progression is addressing the underlying systemic cause. That said, there are often associated musculoskeletal problems, such as back pain, hip pain, and so on, in the setting of peripheral neuropathy. These are often due to decreased balance, feeling in the feet, and gait changes. We could certainly help address those musculoskeletal problems, if needed. Thank you for reaching out! If you have any further questions regarding your specific case, please feel free to give us a call. Yours in health,
Dr. Hennenhoefer is a fully licensed physician who specializes in the musculoskeletal system. He is not a chiropractor. He is a DO rather than a MD; however, these degrees are equivalent in terms of medical scope of practice (e.g. there are heart surgeons who are MDs and heart surgeons who are DOs). His training involved 4 years of medical school followed by 3 years of residency training in his specialty. For more information, please feel free to contact us.
