Stump's Decks & Porches recently replaced our old deck with a composite deck and we have been very pleased with the results. Stump's worked with our contractor, coordinating timing for the deck replacement with the siding replacement on our home. We would highly recommend Stump's Decks.

It’s refreshing to see a company these days who truly values customer service. I’ve completed other large home improvement projects in the past, but this was far and away the best experience yet. Stumps was extremely responsive throughout all stages of the deck build. They were fairly spot on to the estimated projected start date, which they had provided months in advance. After Aaron and I agreed on plans/terms, they had 2 separate teams, one for demo/prep and one for the buildout of the new deck. The former included tearing down a monstrous old, heavily fastened deck along with a couple other wooden structures around my property, and then grading a large area of my property for the new deck. That team came back again after the new deck was installed to finish the final grading and seeding of my property in the areas that were roughed up. Mark led this team and he was absolutely great. Not only did it always feel like he was going above and beyond, but you could tell he’s an honest man who takes pride it what he does. Luke was the foreman who led the team that built out my new deck (and a separate platform up to a side entry door). He was timely every day and helped resolve any issues we ran into with viable solutions. I also asked for a few add-ons during the project, and Luke didn’t get upset at me for wanting changes (as I’ve experienced with some other contractors previously). He was very professional, friendly and outgoing, and another really genuine person that Stumps hired. All told, the project took a bit over a week, with several call-backs once materials came in due to some supply chain issues. The finished product looks great, and I would absolutely recommend anyone else give them a call if you’re in the market for a new deck.

Stump’s decks and porches did a fantastic job in building my composite deck. Kevin, Colson, and Daniel were splendid. They acted professionally and hard-working group of guys who knows the art of constructing a fine deck. If you ever need to build or renovate your deck or porch, call Stump asap and ask for Kevin, Daniel, and Colson. Tell them Tina King sent you. Thanks, guys!

We handle all building and zoning permits. We ask that the customer provide a plot plan for their property so that we can include it with the permit applications. We do not handle Home Owners' Association approval, although we'll be glad to provide drawings and renderings for the HOA upon request.

Your salesman will meet you, discuss the design of your deck, and show you the materials that we work with, so that he has the information that he needs to give you a detailed proposal and renderings. It's also a time for you to ask us any questions that you'd like concerning our company and our construction practices.

Smaller projects generally take less than a week, while larger projects can take up to 2-3 weeks. During this time we keep the disruption to a minimum by sending out prompt and courteous work crews, with no smoking, foul language, or trash in your yard.

If you want to have a project scheduled for spring, summer, or fall, we recommend that you contact us 3-4 months in advance, so that you have enough time to meet with a salesman, review a proposal, and accept the proposal. During the winter months, 2-3 months is generally all that you need.

What does a typical project cost?

Many of our basic low-maintenance decks cost between $10,000-$15,000. However because sizes, options, and materials can vary greatly from project to project, the cost could be very different. A roof and deck project combined can cost between $20,000 to $45,000 and above. Please schedule a consultation with us for more information to determine what your exact project would cost.

We encourage customers to look at our online reviews with Angie's List, Houzz, and Google.
