Call Lifetime ask Robert. Could be thermostat, water r radiator hose, water pump... Or run while too hot n locked up. Better Call Robert.

Yes , the check engine light will fail your vehicle. Just clearing the light without resetting the monitors will not get it passed. Have it checked out.
