Smaller more intimate beach! Can sometimes see the wind farm in Canada on a really clear day. Have found all the best rocks here

This is a very nice beach and park located on Lake Huron. The beach area is small, and the sandy beach area has returned in 2021 after high lake levels last year. There are some rocks walking out for about 6 to10 ft, but the rest is sand and one can easily enjoy their footing. There are some picnic tables, bbq pits, and a porta john handy. Most of the larger park area has open areas, trees, and adequate parking for the summer weekends. There are several places for kids to play on equipment. There are no showers or running water to rinse off in. The water has no steel rods in cement, trash, or other metal dumped in the swim area. I snorkel here a lot and have enjoyed this beach with my family many times and have never been cut or injured. There has not been any issues with the cleanliness of the park and I have always picked up trash when I am there if I see it.

What a wonderful park! It's very large with a few play area, basketball courts, tennis courts, picnic areas, lots of trees and access to Lake Huron. The park is very well maintained.

Questions & Answers

Do you have to reserve the area up by the road if you want to do a kids birthday? . If so how do you go about that ?

Sarah - the big pavilion at this park you do. But not the other smaller area if I'm not mistaken. The township number is 810-385-5577 and I believe you have to be a Burtchville resident. Hope that helps

Is it a long walk from parking to beach area?
