It usually takes our family about and hour and a half. You can drive straight through if you want and it'd be closer to 45-60 minutes but there is a stop midway through where you can ride a few carnival type rides, eat food, see a Christmas play/concert and there is a walk through lights area.
Yes going to have a pretty good crowd, just saw the line over almost the whole bridge.
Best time to avoid traffic would mean getting in line around 5pm-6pm; A little wait but not as bad as a later time.
Have fun
If you go Mon-Thu and arrive when they open then in my opinion yes its worth the price. Especially if you have kids. We usually go every other year as its too similar to go every year. The price also is for a car load so fill up all your seats with friends and family. We usually don't eat at the stop in the middle as prices on food can get expensive.
Edit: The website now says "Guests can enter the line until 10pm or once park reaches capacity, whichever comes first." Depending on how busy 8:30 to 9:30 seems to be when the trucks go out to mark the end of the line. On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, expect the line to close earlier.
If you are in line ahead of the truck, you will be able to enjoy the whole experience, even if it gets later than 10.
After Christmas, the is usually no line at all, and all the lights are still there.
---Original Post No Longer Correct---
If you check the website, you will see that they stop letting cars in line at 10pm. They do this by putting a truck with a big "Line closed" sign on the back. If you are in line at 10, you can go through and enjoy the whole experience.

You could double check their website but I have not seen anything in the FAQ that suggested they had a lower price pass. Peak days are 45 for cars, non-peak 35
How long is the wait and how much does it cost

The wait can vary 2-4 hours. Cost was $45 per car.
Technically closes at 9pm Monday thru Thursday, and 10 pm Friday thru Sunday. But if you are in line before it closes they let you in. I dont know when they stop accepting the line of people though.

We plan to go this Saturday, never been there. Is it a drive in or walk though? Is is Dog friendly? What time should we arrive?

Hope I can answer your questions...it is both drive thru and walk if you choose. In the beginning you drive the path of lights. Then they lead you to a parking area where you can get out and enjoy the rides, food, holiday store, and a walking path. Pets are not allowed in this area. Then on your way out of the park you drive through another lighted theme path. We have only been during the week, not as busy. But from other comments about the lights it seems as though the wait on the weekends is quite long. Could be several hours before you even get to the entrance to pay. Merry Christmas!

Majority of the time you're in your vehicle but midway through there is a place to stop and get out. They have food and rides and it's usually very crowded. So i believe it'd be okay everywhere but at the midway stop.
Can you walk instead of driving
Rochane Ndundalulengo | Oct 12, 2018
Abhilash Markkassery | Oct 12, 2018
No, at least not through where you're supposed to drive through. It would definitely not be safe to walk through where cars drive with lights off.
Is it all inclusive , or do you have to pay for rides and food?

Rides are included, food is not. There are 2 rides.
$45 on weekends, $40 on weekdays for one car. Bigger vehicles cost more. And if you are really crazy, you can pay $150 to skip ahead in line a little bit.
