This "Hair Journey" was absolutely the BEST experience I have ever had!! Umar is the most talented, professional, caring & empathetic hairstylist I have ever encountered! I was referred to him after speaking with a Salon Manager at another salon in Houston... The manager informed me that she had been in the industry for well over 25 years & HIGHLY recommended Umar @ Beauty by Umar! He was the first of only two referrals she provided & stated that she felt that Umar would be a "great fit" for me (based on the information I gave her & the reservations &/or actual fears I had). Ironically, prior to speaking with the aforementioned salon manager (at a very reputable salon), I did several days of research online & Umar was among the Top Three I narrowed my final list down to!! Therefore, when Umar was the FIRST Hairstylist she highly recommended... That was all the confirmation I needed! When I contacted Umar, he had a very welcoming voice & a calming spirit over the phone... I KNEW THEN I MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE!! I think it was a Wednesday afternoon when I called Beauty by Umar, he LISTENED to my concerns & reluctance about going into a hair salon (as I did "the BIG chop" approximately (7)+ Years ago & ventured out on my Natural Hair Journey. Therefore, I had NOT been to a salon/hairstylist in (5)+ Years and was extremely anxious. Umar reassured me that my appointment would be his last one of the day & he committed to devoting at least six hours to my hair (6:00PM - 12 Midnight) on my initial appointment, but he also told me it might take several hours over a two to three day period! He was ALWAYS HONEST & provided encouragement throughout the entire process!! Umar is a GENUINELY Kind, Caring, Empathetic, Understanding & TALENTED HAIRSTYLIST that definitely LOVES what he does! And, he has a great sense of humor! Thanks to Umar's commitment, dedication, intense work ethic & positive attitude, he actually transformed MORE than my hair!! Umar has a client for life & I am forever grateful!! It is without hesitation that I highly recommend Beauty by Umar!!✅👍✅👍

If you want basic style/cut/color, he's your guy ... In reply to his reply: I have been to his salon suite one time and will not be back. Obviously he does not like feedback ... mediocre work ... it is what it is.
