Please read if you look to attend aveda school! PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND UNLESS YOU HAVE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO!!! Aveda does not take into consideration the responsibilities and obligations you have outside of school. No matter the cause they do not allow excused tar-ties (Covid or death in the family!) But beyond things of your control they also under no circumstances will allow late arrival and when I mean no I mean down to the minute after, there is always traffic even when you think there won’t be any there still is, you may have kids or early mornings responsibilities that you’d think they’d understand but no. And if they do extend for late arrival it is always on them and what they feel never in mind of the student and how far they are coming . There are people coming from Galveston just to get here pasadina the galleria area and so much more! Aveda holds us to a high standard so we should do the same for them!!!

Booked an appointment with Miabella for a facial cleanse in advance. On the day of the appointment about 30 minutes before my time. I get a text from my esthetician her telling me that she has a “emergency” and won’t be able to do her service. Then later blocks my phone number for no apparent reason. Hence the face that I drove from WEBSTER TO THE WOODLANDS. Apparently these “estheticians” are completely unprofessional and unreliable. I do not recommend these services.

I didn’t have a good facial experience today. I understand these are students but for the price they should be trained to do a better job. For $65 you have a plethora of options on Groupon to get professional grade facials from licensed aestheticians, at a spa - especially if you want a great deal! I drove an hour away from the Heights and was so disappointed in the service. The young lady who saw me was very nice but she was not skilled or knowledgeable and it was hard to believe she would be done with her program in October - according to her. I had a plant peel add-on with my facial but the girl couldn’t explain what it was, so she had to stop the service and go get her instructor to explain it. When she applied the peel, she only put it on the perimeter of my face. She said that she wasn’t allowed to put the peel on my nose because another student had gotten product in another customer’s eye so they weren’t allowed to put it on the nose at all. Huh? Why offer a peel and not apply it to the entire face? I then had to ask her to use a steamer before removing my extractions. When she came back with one, she couldn’t figure out how to turn it on. The instructor again had to show her. When she finally got it to work she didn’t aim it towards my face because she said it fogged up her glasses so the steam was hitting my hands. She used NO PRESSURE while removing my make-up - even though I gave her permission several times to increase the pressure - she didn’t. She literally was wiping my face as if I were an infant. I honestly wanted to get up because my face felt dirty from the make-up and she kept applying more product over my dirty face. The process wasn’t seamless or relaxing. Again, I understand these are students but having this many issues during my service was unacceptable . When I mentioned it to the instructor afterwards, she stated that the peel should have been applied to my entire face so she took it off the bill, but honestly it was a waste of time and money! After driving that far it totally was not worth it!
