What an amazing resource for our community. Legal resources including books, forms, computer terminals with access to research, e-filing and support calculators AND, most importantly staffed by knowledgeable and kind people. Access to justice is a HUGE issue in family court, very grateful to the Kane County Law Library Self Help Legal Center for all they do to connect both pro se litigants AND lawyers to resources!

As a Kane County lawyer, I might visit the library when I'm in court for a fast and affordable uncontested divorce in Illinois, and also for a more complicated divorce. I found the library staff to be very helpful. It is also a pleasant environment in which to work.

Hi Joyce, You do not need an appointment to visit our law library. We do, however, have a legal help service for self-represented litigants which does require an appointment. Here is a link to that service: http://www.kclawlibrary.org/Pages/lawyer-in-library.aspx We would love to see you! ~Ellen/Law Librarian
