The Cary PD are your typical small town officers with fragile ego's and nothing to do. These are not the people you want to help handle your troubled loves ones. They are useless and show no compassion for people with mental disorders or humans in general. They only show up to cause a scene and intimidate you like the big, bad police they are! Not to mention they'll come up with any petty reason to fine/charge anyone with as much as possible.

On 7/5/2022 at route 14 and Crystal st. I was severely rear ended. When the police showed up they did not come to me to check on my well being for injuries. As they noticed i was rear ended they first talked to the driver who caused the accident who clearly smelled of alcohol. The police dismissed that due to cigarette smell. Even when my wife showed up she smelled the alcohol. But they still let the driver go. The only 2 times the police came to me was to see if I could move my car. Pretty ridiculous. The only heroes in this incident were the fire department for taking care of me in a professional manner. The department should be ashamed of how unprofessionaly the situation was handled.

I have PTSD. I called the police because my neighbor physically assaulted me out of nowhere (they are either mentally unstable or severely nasty). The officers dismissed my claim and instead gave me a disorderly conduct citation for yelling up at the stairs at the abuser. Went to court, clarified with the judge that the neighbor's battery charge would not be charged criminally (only civically) so the county dismissed the entire case. How unfortunate justice was not served to an abuser who subsequently posted a picture in their apartment window of a veteran pointing a gun at their own head, an obvious jab at me. Called the police again about that and they said nothing could be done under the First Amendment. The first response officers did a POOR job assessing the situation. Had my neighbor been male instead of female, she would be in handcuffs. Gave 2 stars instead of 1 because they did encourage me to seek a restraining order, which I did.
