When cook county can mail you your real estate tax assessment and Kane county can't even be bothered to mail you an assessment instead just surprises you with a higher tax bill says we put that info in the local news paper. Apparently this just how Kane county tax assessor's office runs. We pay high taxes already mine just jumped 27% and I didn't even get notified they were going up. The bill just showed up with higher taxes as surprise amount.

if I could put zero stars I would. This treasurer has no clue how to do his job. I called to ask if there was any kind of tax assistance for people in Kane County and Alysa who answered the phone told us no. I spoke to her boss Maria who also had no clue if they offered tax assistance at all Or if they had any resources phone numbers charities anything that might help people a little bit short on their taxes and they didn’t? This is the treasurers office? And they don’t know of any kind of tax assistance offered by anybody? How is that possible? They had no phone numbers nothing to help people. Kane county itself does not offer tax assistance but there are a lot of other agencies that dude we had to call our Congress person instead of our treasurer to find out that yes there are plenty of places offering assistance. Lauren Underwood’s office actually helped us.So I finally spoke to the treasurer who raised his voice when he was speaking to me because I was upset that his people didn’t know the answers to things that were part of their job. That is not the kind of person I want representing me as treasurer. I don’t think most people do and from the reviews on here one star

Most people at that office should be fired or trained on how to interact with people without being disrespectful, rude, and treating others like second-class citizens. With the amount of money we spend on taxes, it would be nice to get some respect. Maybe the employees are simply a refection of poor leadership? Who knows...???
