Update June 2022: It's a ghost town for good reasons New owners have ejected or forced out over 25% of the long term yearly renters with rates from $5500 to $15,000 per year. Many more planning to leave soon when leases expire. Lawns not mowed, weeds everywhere, garbage overflowing, owners don't know the basics of how to turn on water or electricity to short term RVs. Expect long term issues with water, sewer, and electric that existed before but old owners cared. New owners are barricaded and in lockdown. Expect a bad experience. Don't make any financial arrangements with the new owners. You may be competing with the county tax collector when this sh_t show goes belly up. Consider Keller ferry campground at the boat landing. It's beautiful although sometimes crowded. New owners Jan 2022. Beware. The previous owners were solid and fair. Prices have doubled now with a focus on making money and serving rich folks. John and Jain focused on average working people. The Rue is now a very different place. I guess nothing good lasts forever.

Always enjoy my visit at River Rue!!!(This review was from 3 years ago when River Rues Owners were John and Jane) As of January 2022 there are new owners to river rue. We had been residents of River Rue(John and Janes River Rue) for 14 years! 8 years of that was spent in the spot we just left when our lease was up. Our new yearly lease IF we renewed was going to be 15,000....yep you read that right 15,000!!! We didnt even have a spot with a full view of the LakeπŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ€·β€β™€οΈ. Many residents are leaving to go to other places or like us...purchase our own land to put our RV on. So when thinking of going to River Rue RV park know that these are new owners. They are not John and Jane. Very different Prices and Rules. So far the yearly lease prices range from 5,500 or 15,000. We are pretty sure the 15,000 price was a way to evict people without really evicting usπŸ€·β€β™€οΈ. Oh there is the price range of 3,000 but the view is towards the back and looking at the mountain, small spot with barely any grass. It seems this new river rue prefer reservations made via online. Reaching them on phone is difficult and they dont return messages in a timely manner, email isnt responded to either. It is sad to see what is happening to the original River Rue that John and Jane created years ago(1984-i think) which was welcoming and friendly. Again....as of January 2022 there are new owners!! Make sure you know the prices and new rules before reserving a spot a spot....it is NOT the River Rue that John and Jane built upπŸ˜•

There are new owners. The old owners were amazing people. They owned the land, which gave them an AMAZING opportunity to keep prices incredibly low. The new owners are amazing people as well. But unfortunately, when you finance such a big property, a big bill comes with it. This is an amazingly beautiful huge piece of property, a store, a couple houses, a restaurant, storage space, shower area, too much to say, all overlooking the Roosevelt Lake, and the old owners got a very pretty penny for it, I am sure. The old rent being charged, was simply out of date. It was less then $10 a day I believe. THAT'S CRAZY!!! Bless their hearts for doing that though, since they were in a situation where they could. Unfortunately, the new owners are not in the same spot as the old owners were. Simply put, bills must be paid, and the insanely low monthly rent being charged, wouldn't do it. So, what do the new owners do? Keep the rent the same, lose money every month, file bankruptcy in 6 months? Fail and move on....Or do they fix up the place and charge rent that is closer to similar property in the area and succeed!! Give them a chance, permanent residence of River Rue RV Park, given the opportunity, they will prove they are good people, with truly loving and ambitious hearts. They both love the Lord immensely and she is very active with the youth in her church, she is a wonderful lady, who just wants to succeed. She doesn't want to be the bad guy, for that is so out of her character and nature, but to make the situation work, she had to do something. It really hurts my heart to hear how they have been treated since arriving at their new property. They bought the land and have to pay the bill, everyone just needs to remember that, before being so quick to judge.

Got the cold shoulder when arriving, 3 staff were inside and ignored me for about 10 minutes before helping me. We have 4 kids, there was nowhere for them to run and play and the other residents were staring at us and our trailer the whole time we were there. Facilities were nice, just didnt feel like an inviting, friendly or family environment.

Yes to both. The laundry is inside the store and you pay at the counter (rather than coin operated)
