Very disappointed that they are putting clients at risk with covid. They are opening back up 6 days a week at this point is still unsafe. If you are thinking about starting here during covid and you care about your health I would try a different clinic.

Real nice staff. Very professional and knowledgeable about the services they have. To many places have to many employees that don't understand this line of work. I'm so happy I came here! Also first impressions are everything, so when you walk in the door your treated like you are welcomed and so happy to see you!! Thank you SP Pilsen

My counselor is amazing. I'm lucky enough to not be one of the patients who's councilor didn't stay long. Katie is seriously the best.

Questions & Answers

I'll be pretty blunt, if you're looking for a place to just drink methadone and leave then sure good place. They can improve and be more attentive but I can't say that about everyone working there. I will say I've been ignore 3 times about goin down

Lol that's the clinic.. but you have counselors there .... Well ONE that's pretty attentive and will go out of there way to see what they can do to help.... Oops my Bag!!!!!! She left .. smh

Is it hard to get carries? Ive been on methadone for two years and the place I’m at is a pain; I transferred due to insurance where I was going once every two weeks, transferred and had to go back to daily

Yeah it can take a while. I’m still only getting weekly carries after a few years of being there. I heard they don’t really give out two weeks worth anymore for some reason, I’m not sure why and it’s not really fair to the people that are doing what they’re supposed to, but other than that it’s a decent clinic.

Do they take illinicare? Does anyone know?

Yes they do.

Anyone knows if is private pay or what kind of insurance to they take

They take private pay for $45/week, they have a state program for $10/week, or they have a Medicaid program where you’d pay nothing out of pocket.

Do they eventually allow less frequent visits?

Yes, you eventually get takehome bottles if you meet the requirements but it takes longer at this clinic than at most others. Most clinics drop you monthly and after three clean drops, and meeting other requirements, you get your first takehome and only have to come in five days a week. This clinic, however, only drop you 8 times a year so it can take a while before you have your three clean drops. It’s actually not required by law that you have three clean drops, only that you have been clean for 90 days, but this clinic requires three clean drops. I wouldn’t be surprised if they misinterpreted the law. Sadly the staff are quite ignorant about MMT related laws. My counselor claimed that there is no such thing as takehome exceptions. By the dosing window there is a sign that says that according to “rule TIP 43” cell phones are not allowed. There is no such thing as “rule TIP 43”. TIP 43 is a publication by SAMHSA, not a rule.
