Some ups, but more downs. Had always wanted to try this place. Drive by it when im in Dallas and tonight was the night to try it. The parking is different but if you can follow signs you will be fine. It's a big barn basically. The building and grounds are beautiful. Clean, well decorated, and honestly just a nice beautiful building. Got in line and everything a la carte. Not a huge fan of this because I don't know how much I can eat, like with a three meat plate they calculate all that for me. Asked for some moide brisket, got lean, jalapeno sausage, and the ribs. Inside you can pick sides. I went with the brisket beans and potato salad. Now this potato salad was a major up. Probably the best part of the meal. But before we go on, this was expensive. 45 dollars for just me with a water. This much be the best damn bbq on earth, right? Spoiler alert, it isn't. The sausage, it was good. Wasn't spicy at all and kinda forgetful. The brisket wasn't what I wanted and despite it being fresh pulled from the heated fridge, was very dry. The ribs? Also very dry. They have a house and a Carolina sauce. For me, the Carolina was much better. But to each their own here. The beans? Not good at all. The worst part of the dish. But that potato salad was just epic. Maybe i got the wrong meats here? Maybe. Maybe the wrong sides. But honestly the price of everything is the largest deterrent for me to come back. Syoy

Smoked sausage was fantastic. Ribs were real tender. Sitting outside on the covered patio on a cool evening is the best.

They were serving a limited supply of beef ribs when we visited a few weeks ago.

They do have a nice outdoor area for eating. While I wouldn't think it would be a problem for the dog to be in the seating area, the way that you collect your food sends you through the building and by warm stoves/grills. I would call ahead to make sure they're okay with a dog coming through. It would also benefit to determine if your dog will do well with loud noises and crowds of new people, as well as being behaved enough to not cause a ruckus to other patrons.
