We've been going to Campbell Park Animal Hospital for 26 years and used to love it when Dr. Grubs was there. After today, and our experience with Dr. Horner we will NEVER go again. It seems the practice has deteriorated severely over the past few years. Especially since Dr. Grubs left. About 17 months ago, we lost our precious 10 year old Dalmatian only 2 days after we took her to visit one of the doctors there because they couldn't figure out what was wrong. Then, last month they couldn't even be bothered to see one of our other puppies even though it was critical we get in. We went to MedVet Dallas and were immediately seen and taken care of. Then yesterday, our 6 month old Dalmatian puppy was in pain and very lethargic. Getting in the same day seemed to be take an act of congress, but they ended up fitting us in. They couldn't figure out what was wrong and gave us pain meds and anti-inflammatory meds and told us to monitor. Today our puppy was worse and they had us come back in so Dr. Hohner could take a look and draw blood. An hour later the doctor came in and had no idea what was goin on and started babling about all kinds of different possibilities and even mentioned the possibility of meningitis due to a high red blood cell count. We were getting so frustrated because it seemed she had no plan of attack, and instead wanted us to tell her what we wanted her to do. At that point, things went south quickly. I simply stated that we weren't the experts and didn't have a 4 year degree and expressed our frustration at the situation. She proceeded to yell at us! Saying Crosby wasn't her dog and that we needed to be informed and be the ones that made the decision on what treatment we should go with. She didn't even give us an opinion until I snapped back and told her she was the doctor with the experience and she should recommend what we do. Her people skills suck! After she told us we would take the dog to MedVet Dallas to get a spinal tap she left the room to call MedVet. 15 minutes later her tech assistant came in and only said the doctor made the call and the a spinal tap would cost us between $6k to $9k without any explanation. Very unprofessional! We left and went to MedVet who is great! The doctor there was patient and thorough. Laying out the plan she would suggest we take which made perfect since before we did a spinal tap. They ended up having to draw blood again because that doctor was smart enough to determine that the original blood work readings just did not make scene and seemed inaccurate. Sure enough the blood work Campbell Park did was all wrong. The red blood cell count was not high, and that changed the entire course of action and made us feel so much more relieved. It's ashame Dr. Horner and her staff don't seem to care about urgency and bed side manners, but we will never be going back to that enept place ever again.

Timely, efficient, and knowledge with a staff that cares more than upselling a brand. I love bringing my dogs here. They get cooed over and when I only bring in one of my dogs the others are asked after.

Absolutely THE BEST vet we've ever taken our dogs to, by far. Great (and very clean) facilities, friendly staff, and AMAZING vets (and vet techs) that love animals. One of my dogs has degenerative myelopathy, and instead of having us pick her up and put her on the exam table, the vet got down on the floor to examine her. This was NOT the case at 2 other vets we'd been to that came highly recommended. The team at Campbell Park truly care for our pets like they're their own. We will never take our pets to any other vet.

I’m so happy I found this office! The whole staff is always great. Amy at the front office is always so helpful when I call. Dr. Ricketts is amazing and the best vet I have had for my two shih tzus. Would recommend this place 10000%!!

Not sure how much, but really liked their service.. reasonable priced to get our two checked out. Call them, I am sure they get that quite a bit .
