Crazy park with massive bowls and a snake run made of quarters and a really big roll in. It's easy to make insane runs. Just bring your knee pads you'll need them.

No but people do anyways. There is a skate park on 83rd ave & Bethany Home rd that is for bikes as well as skate boards.

Probably. It's been raining in Phoenix... Though I don't know if the storms happened over there.
There's a wide open "street course" with a roll in "snake run" area that's great for learning how to ride on banks and curves. I can't speak for "safety" though. skateboarding and similar sports are dangerous by nature. Make sure your beginner wears their helmet and pads! I should also note that I brought my 4 and 6 year olds here in the morning (when few people were around) and nobody got hurt.
I've taken my younger ones for a few years now. My youngest is 9 and wears a helmet when we go. If I see there are more experienced skaters we stick to one area. However, I have found that most of the skaters there are courteous of the younger ones

We don't care for scooters and bikes in our park. Don't cause trouble, stay out of the way, and you should be fine.
