Great place!!!

My toddler loves this place! We enjoy the play area immensely. The layout is designed in a way where you can have some privacy with your kiddo (various themed rooms), but also created a lot of interactive spaces for socializing with other little ones. For example, my daughter played in the kitchen area with another little girl like I've never seen before for a good 30 minutes! Very clean, very organized; the darker lighting is calming for the youngsters. The other section of the museum is designed for older ones and extremely engaging, offering great flexibility. We became members immediately, which also gives you a discount at the natural history museum nearby. I am thrilled to bring my family here and appreciate its inclusion of little ones that are 2-3 and under.

Amazing place for the kids...

There is a street music setup outside the museum that is free. There's a courtyard with grass inside the museum, but I wouldn't call it a playground. For your admission fee of nine dollars, everything is included. Artville (the little kids area) is a socks only space for five and under kids. Older siblings are welcome there as long as they don't cause problems. The main museum activities and the changing exhibit are all included. The only extra cost is for a class if you pre-register. They have classes occasionally that are always great. There's no parking cost either. So, nine dollars a person includes it all...
Yes! Open from 9am-6pm
No. Admission is free on a Sunday in May.
Yes. They require masks and remind everyone to make sure their mouth and nose are covered at all times.. This is one of the most covid-safe places I have been. In each station, each family uses a set of clean toys/art supplies and puts them in a "yuck bin" when they are done.
Both
It is $9 per person for anyone one year or older. It's free for anyone under one.
I'm an employee at the museum and we do offer an EBT discount. With the EBT card it is a $2 admission per person for up to 6 people.
Call them. :)
No, only for the children 1 and younger. The basic membership is most frugal option, $55 for 6 months and 4 people. You can go in with it as often as you want.
There different membership options, but the basic 6-month is $55, or 1 year $85, which allows you to bring as often as you wish 4 people, age 1+. Here the link to the other membership options http://www.ideamuseum.org/member-benefits.html
If you are bringing a child under 1 they will be free. Other than that $9 per person. Also, don't forget to bring socks.
I've been taking my Granddaughter since she was 3. She loves it. Many activities for your kids ages. Some activities cost a little, but not all. Sign up for their emails, so you can be notified of events.
They have a new smaller play area that kids of a certain height/age cant go that would be soft and safe for crawling babies, smaller area but still plenty to do in it
They are running a special right now. Go to I.D.E.A Museum membership and you will see the prices for the different levels of membership. Depends on how many people you have. It's unlimited visits for the amount that you pay, so it's a great deal. I highly recommend a membership if you're going to go often..
