I took my HOMELESS Family members to Bethany House to see if they could help them with Emergency Housing. I spoke with an employee & a client, both young ladies were very helpful in answering my questions & my families concerns. π
Mother Nature Heals
Worst non profit ever. They are definitely scamming and not helping the community as much as they claim to be. Cincinnati definitely needs a better program than this

Hello. Please reach out to the CAP Line: (513) 381-SAFE (7233). They will be able to guide you from there.
Contact Cincinnati's Shelter Hotline at 513-381-7233 or text 513-970-1515. They can direct you to the right place. Bethany is a family shelter.
I stayed there. It was only women and kids. Males had to go downtown
Currently they are not accepting any Used clothing or toys. All items would have to be new.
Yes they do. If you call them they will explain everything to you. Get everything in writing if you stay there or in one of their apartments. The 1st time I stayed at Anna Louise on Reading Rd. and they were great. Bethany House screwed me and my children. They made a mistake and after putting us in an apartment, they called me and lied and said that I didn't make an appointment they scheduled for me which I worked at that time and never spoke with me anyway. Threw me and my children out and told us we had to share 2 twin beds in a room the size of a bathroom with a nailed shut window in the middle of summer. I'm 43 and my 2 girls are 11 and 16, my son is 15. They didn't want to sleep in the same beds because of PTSD from CPS threats when we were going to get a hotel room. They told my kids don't worry about it, they're fine! I don't think so! Not a good place at the shelter. Best wishes!
Hi Lachell - We are a family homeless shelter and are able to take single women, single men, and dual parent households with their children. For single women only, the best number to call is the Hatton Center at 513-562-1980.
Hi Fred - On our website, you must submit a phone number to donate online. It is just a requirement of the form unfortunately. It does not need to be a cell phone number. If you would like to donate without submitting a phone number, you can send us a check via mail to 1841 Fairmount Avenue. If you have other questions, please give us a call at 513-557-2411.
We are a famliy homeless shelter and help all types of homeless families including single women with their children, single men with their children, and parents with their children.
We do accept clothing donations, but only if those are new. We do not take anything used at this time.
Hi Donna! We had an overwhelming response and we have all of our families matched at this time. Iβm attaching a βBethany Basicsβ list for you. https://bethanyhouseservices.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/BHS-Basic-List.pdf We like to give these items to families as they transition from shelter into their own home β it helps them set up their new home. We provide approximately 300 of these annually so are always in need of any items on this list. If youβd like to supply any of those in lieu of sponsoring a specific family, that would be fantastic. Another way you can support is to purchase Kroger gift cards. We would give these to families to purchase food to cook around the holidays. If you have any questions, please donβt hesitate to reach out!
Would be a good start !!!! I don't know bout the cats tho!!!!

Not sure what you mean. There are homeless certificates that people can receive from an emergency shelter or from the outreach team, which enable people to receive services. There are also clothing vouchers, gas vouchers or Section 8 vouchers from Cincinnsti Metropolitan Housing Authority. If you are homeless and need shelter the first step is to call the Central Access Point at 513-381-7233.
Every case is different. Goal is to find permanent housing as soon as possible for families.
