My mother had injections in her eyes last week and now she can barely see. They still haven't called her back. Her eyes are literally blood red after a week

I recently had cateract surgery in both eyes for distance only. The right eye was first and everything went beautifully. three weeks later had surgery in the left eye and the experience has not been as positive. During the surgery I heard the doctor say to the nurses that my eye was not dilated properly and then also had to question which number lens he was transplanting into my eye. The procedure was completely different with the left eye. It actually was a bit painful and he didn't do or say the same things to me while operating on this left eye as he did the right eye. I am not seeing nearly as clearly out of the left eye as the right and I have a black floater going across my eye constantly that I never had before. Also after stopping the drops a few days later my right eye became infected, was very reddish pink and watering constantly. Now the left eye is doing the same thing as the right eye since stopping the drops. My first surgery was on August 3rd and the second was on August 24th. I sit here at my desk at work constantly wiping the tears from my eyes, very uncomfortable and obviously it's very blurry to see with your eyes filled full of water all the time. I have called the office several times about this problem as well as the issue of the left eye not seeing as well as the right and the first time I called the nurse told me that I have been discharged by the doctor and that I should go see my regular optometrist for my problems, which I did and they told me to take the the Tobramycin again and the predisone 4 times a day for another week and hopefully that will take care of the problem. My problem still exist and I've left three messages now with CEI in Blue Ash for the Dr. Nordlund to contact me and I still haven't heard a thing from him....I am very disappointed in this procedure and am wondering if this condition I'm suffering with will ever go away......

I had a very minor eye issue my optometrist wanted CEI to look at. Although I think the Doctors are likely very good, just know you will be there for hours. It was very frustrating. I went once for an initial look at my eye. I was there 3-4 hours. I chalked it up to maybe having to review the exams they did, despite only being with the actual doctor about 5 minutes. They asked me to come back 3 months later for a quick re-check just to see if the spot looked the same, so I did. I was there again for 2-3 hours and with the doctor about 3 minutes. Peoples time is valuable, just like theirs. I understand there are waits, but this is the worst I’ve seen. Then I looked at the reviews and see the same thing over and over. If you are willing to wait for hours, then this is probably a great place. I work a full time job and shouldn’t have to take off an entire morning or afternoon so I can get a quick recheck. I’m really shocked they don’t manage this better as it seems a regular issue.

Excellent doctors! But, while I don't expect CEI to manage crowds like Disney, it's sad to note the Ohio's BMV does a better job. 😕 Suggest CEI check them for ideas.

Elizabeth Certainly our primary patient base is elderly with a proportionate number of Alzheimer's patients and we pride ourselves on our customer service.
Thanks for inquiring. The answer to your question is no, our doctors do not do dropless cataract surgery.
CEI is opthamologists. So, medical doctors specializing in the diagnosis and diseases of the eye. This is not the place to go for eye glasses of contacts.
No idea. Don't wear them
I am a patient as well. You should call, they are very good to talk to. My problem was covered by Medicare and Anthem.
