This is a nice trailhead but oddly placed on a hill about 100 yards away from the trail - the only one placed this way on the entire 237 mile Katy Trail. Still, the restrooms and shade were much welcomed. I love this trail and state park.

Rode horseback from Windsor to Calhoun and back. Awesome trail experience. Cyclists, walkers and Horses were all sharing the trail well today

The Katy Trail is one of the best hidden treasures that Missouri has to offer. It also just happens to be one of the best bike trails in the country! I have visited many of the depots & trailheads and walked or ridden on small parts of the trail throughout the state. My wife on the other hand just finished biking 275 mi in 4 days on the trail for spring break! As you can see, the Katy has a little something for everybody including all different fitnes levels. There's a reason we named our daughter Katy, and I was standing on part of that reason today!
