Lanesboro is a great town, but I cannot recommend camping at the town campground, unless you're a heavy drinker and want to be around other heavy drinkers. Both nights we camped there, there was a lot of noise from drunks in the middle of the night. Also, many of the tent sites around the pond are not flat; they slope towards the pond. Didn't bother me much, but some in our group had trouble sliding down the incline during the night.

Great waterfall for a really neat photo. There are a lot of bike and walking paths around, and just down the street from the little downtown area to get some food and really good ice cream with the family!

The park and campground are very nice, well-maintained and super affordable. Has many sites for tent camping as well as hookups for campers. Having public restrooms with showers is certainly a bonus too. Excellent for rainbow trout fishing. We will absolutely camp here again! Only downside is they are constructing a new school right next door to the campground and we were woken up two mornings at 6:45 am, not the campgrounds fault by any means, but we look forward to staying again once the construction is finished.

The sites are small so during the busy season it would get really crowded but in the fall it's pretty quiet and enjoyable! Our 17 foot camper barely fits on a camper site so of you have a really big camper you'd need 2 spots. The campground is situated right in town so you can walk everywhere. Bike rentals available in town which allows you to use the awesome bike trails without packing all your gear. Toilets and showers are available but being your quarters for the shower! $1 for 5 minutes. Wildlife can be seen too. There's a game trail on the hill, lots of ducks in the pond squirrels, birds, etc. Really a beautiful place.

I think $20 a night.
No. Only May-November
Considering that camping spots are available on a first come-first serve basis (I.e. no reservations are accepted per their website) I would guess that your chances of getting a spot at 6:00 p.m. on the Friday of the 4th of July holiday weekend would be a bit slim. Do you know anyone who lives in or regularly camps in Lanesboro that could give you an answer from their own personal experience?
Yes, first come first serve
Hi 35.00 for full hook up. Less for tents
We camped there and we understood it was first come first serve but don't know anything about the shelters. Nice place and close to the town!
