I normally visit Mt. Pisgah for work. I maintain a radio transmitter at the top. Very rarely see another sole while in the park. Always nice and quiet. Last winter my wife and I hiked from Pisgah State Park to the summit of the County Park. We had a excellent quite hike on a very cold day. We had a nice snack in the shelter at the top. The only people we saw were two snowmobiles who were very respectful of us and passed us very slowly. A great park with nice trails if you are looking for a hike without the crowd.

This is a hidden gem in Northern PA. There are a lot of trails in beautiful woods. If you do some exploring, you can find some old stone walls from times past. There are some great views up at the top also. Don't miss this area!

What a climb to the to of Mt. Pisgah, but what a treat after one arrives at the top! The history regarding Chief Wetona was quite interesting (as was his life-size sculpture!!), and the view was spectacular. We had had a long day and decided not to walk any of the trails, but there are certainly many to choose from.
