Lovely area. Saw a huge snake on my last visit. But what can you expect in nature. Lol

Our family loves coming here. It's so peaceful and very beautiful! My parents moved nearby a few years ago and I found this spot on Google the first time we came up to visit. It's not far from the parking area and great when you don't have a whole bunch of time, but want to enjoy some nature.

Hays Mill City Park has been hidden from myself and family but now I’ve found it, I’m in like Flynn. I live in Northern Heard County and own a place here that reminds me of Hay’s. The Centralhatchee Creek, Hillabahatchee Creek and possibly Deer Creek are all in different areas of Heard County but they have always been unspoiled and beautiful. As I grew up, graduated college, raised a family and in general, this thing called life took me away from all that Beauty 35 years ago. It’s my dream to enjoy nature’s gifts and especially the fish and wildlife. My great great great grandparents settled the Centralhatchee area long before Heard County existed. In fact I own the original settlement half section of bottom land and live here on the south side of the city limits on Highway 27. My grandparents were Bivin and Dana Jackson Hyatt. My parents allowed me to spend all my leisure time on the creek. I became a big game fisherman all the creeks, rivers, steams and ponds on the farm and within an easy bike ride. Well, that’s another story for another time. I am attempting to get a studio and do Podcast on life and visit places like Hays Mill and a few hidden spots around Carrollton and Centralhatchee, Georgia. Maybe fictionalized tales that’s been in my mind to real life situations that are a mixture of Dawson’s Creek and The Waltons.

Cross Creek is nice.
There is a place to rent bikes, but sometimes there are none there. They have a self-pay station, but some times the bikes are already rented or have been returned to other sections of the green belt.
