We’re visiting from California. Website shows candy store is open. Drove there. 11 miles out of the way. A not very friendly man met us outside in the parking lot and told us the “lobby has been closed to the public since Covid.” Well shoot, then. Say that on your website! Call hotels in st. Joeseph and tell them to remove your travel brochures from their lobbies. This is poor business practice. I wanted to purchase some as thank you gifts for people who took care of our pets while we were gone. Very disappointing.

My family has been eating cherry mashes, for over 3 generations! It's something that feels like, Home! You take pride, when visiting another state, & knowing this is from your hometown! Every Christmas, you gotta get one of these at Krug. They also have other candy, that's equally as delicious! But the legend is that, Cherry Mash!

Take the Cherry Mash Challenge: Start from the bottom of the candy. Lick up through the bottom chocolate and up into the cherry mash center while retaining the outer chocolate and peanut candy shell. We did this as kids at the Missouri theater while watching movies in that great old venue. ❤️🤪❤️
