The motel is just fine. I've stayed there numerous times over the years. BUT no longer...manager Keith is an unethical business man! He would NOT honor the Booking.com reservation rate and over-charged our credit card for $50 more than our reservation! He said several guests had this issue and he wasn't refunding a dime to anyone- "it's His motel!" He was very unprofessional and I will NEVER stay there again!!! Be WARE!!!😱

Definitely best kept secret in Iowa. Rooms are newly updated, clean & cheerful. First time I've ever put my feet on a hotel floor... love the flooring. Quiet. Yes, no fridge, coffee maker, safe or kleenex but didn't matter if clean, quiet & safe. Ashley did great job checking in. Owner present this morning. Will be back!!

Having only stayed at a few Motel 6 hotels over the years, this one is a true exception compared to other experiences. The young lady at the front desk (think her name was Tara) was very nice and friendly. Check in was quick. The room was very clean. The beds, bedding, towels and furnishings were not spectacular, but reasonable for the price. We went downstairs for a nightcap and the bartender was very friendly and offered to stay open late for us. We enjoyed a few drinks and a game of pool before hitting the sack. It was quiet all night and we slept fairly well. Because of how much we travel we normally would stay at a Hilton or Marriott, but this one was in the right spot for our long drive. That being said, we would definitely stay here again if traveling through the area. They also allow pets without an additional charge. Cons - Because they have smoking rooms the hallways (not the room) did have a somewhat unappealing smell (although it seems like they try to cover it). They also only offer bar soap and no shampoo. We carry our own, but not everyone does.
