Mom moved to Shore Haven recently. It was a difficult decision to move mom from the home she lived in for many years to a senior living community. We chose ShoreHaven as the place for mom to live and we made the right choice. The staff is wonderful and made the transition seamless. Every staff member has made mom feel welcomed and part of the community. Mom was assigned an ambassador who has helped mom join in the many activities offered. It is so nice to see mom chatting away at lunch with peers and then spending her afternoons and evenings in activities she enjoys. The executive director Brian was instrumental in making our decision to have mom live at ShoreHaven. He answered all of our questions and his helpfulness exceeded our expectations. Once mom moved in, he checked on her often and promptly completed any requests we had. I would highly recommend sending a loved one who needs companionship and TLC to this community.

Chef is a Customer Service Representative instead of in the kitchen cooking for the residents. Yesterday the residents had perogi and polishi sausage . If the kitchen team cooks any type of pasta it's raw just like the vegetables. The servers are on cellphone during lunch and dinner. Not fair to servers who work hard to make residents happy. Shortages on food. No bottle water for two days, no variation of fruits. Because the person who is in charge of ordering forgets. The dishwasher opens on weekends for kitchen chef. And he wakes up late. So residents are not happy. Breakfast is raisin bread slices and no toaster, 90% of the time. No yogurt, bananas are old. Bruised, spotted, and brown skin. Instant oatmeal packages, coffee and tea. Not exactly a continental breakfast. Kellogg's breakfast bars?? Residents are waiting an hour to be served in dining room. If you are waiting to take lunch/dinner trays, you also will be waiting over 30 minutes. You always get what you didn't want. I truly feel sorry for the residents. Each resident pays $600.00 per month which is part of the rent just for food. Take $600.00 × residents living at shorehaven 93. No one does the job they were hired to do. The director sits in office with shades drawn and does whatever. The place reminds me of below standards. Grace management should be ashamed of themselves. Taking money and not doing what is right for the residents of shorehaven. Please do something.
