I had a hard time finding a solid florist who would deliver to Castine. Not only did Farwinds Florist deliver, they also produced an absolutely beautiful arrangement! Ordering online from out of state was also very easy. A great experience overall!

Oh my gosh. We used Fairwinds Florists for our wedding and they were so amazing and easy to work with. My flowers for my bridesmaids and myself were more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. Last minute I needed an extra boutonnière and they were able to make one the morning of and of course that’s not something that can typically happen but they were so understanding and the delivery process was so smooth. I would 100% recommend to someone looking for a wedding florist.

Wish I could give no stars after our experience today. My 9 year old daughter and I went in to try their sipping iced chocolate and get a few flowers. My daughter had a tough day at school and I was trying to cheer her up with the flowers. As she went to pick out three roses, in a cooler accessible to all customers and with no signage at all as to not touch, we were abruptly told not to touch the flowers. My daughter, in a panic went to put them back and was immediately reprimanded not to put them back. My daughter fought back tears as we stood there not knowing what to do. Not once did we get an apology and not to mention we are locals!! We will never step foot in there again after the way we were treated. And still charged $26 for three single roses and two drinks. So disappointing 😞

With beautiful flowers, unusual home furnishings, candy, cards, coffee and much more, Fairwinds has always been the place to go! But now they have bagel sandwiches, too! Unusual and delicious, these sandwiches are a must have on a busy, cold morning or a lovely midsummer Blue Hill stroll. Dine at the vintage wooden Pharmacy counter or on the go. Choose from pre-decided sandwich combinations or build your own, you won't be disappointed, especially if you get some of their fabulous pepper relish! Don't forget the chocolate, or in summer, Pugnuts Ice Cream. The staff and owner are super helpful, knowledgeable, *and* stylish. The not-often-seen store cats are adorable and unassuming--a highly suggested spot, by my family, for certain.
