Not your typical small town Maine grill - they have a terrific varied menu with lots of options for those of us who avoid red meat. Everything we tried was top notch, including dessert - an ice cream sandwich made from two excellent homemade cookies. Great on tap and local beer and cider selection as well!

The best Reuben! A deep sandwich of lots of thinly sliced pastrami and just the right amount of sauerkraut. Great hand cut fries. Pretzel was super yum as well. All their sauces are awesome good. Lava cake was the bomb as well. Friendly staff even during peeper madness and lines out the door. Thank you so much for a great meal!

The Backstrap is the best pub restaurant. Crazy inventive menu, and the preparations are perfect! The pizzas are gorgeous. And all this in Eustis, ME... not where people expect great dining!
