I just changed my policy to state farm just because of their service. This office is amazing, Dayana our Agent Insurance, made our transition so smooth that I can't believe now I have a better insurance and we are paying less at the same time. Even 6 moths after my policy started I just grab the phone to call her to ask questions and she nicely answer and help me to solve everything. We have been with State Farm for over 35 years, but with Eric Kannal only for a few months. We transferred agents on the very strong recommendation of friends, who told us stories of how he has gone above and beyond for them. The clincher was about how he went to their home post-hurricane to check things, and covered a damaged roof spot to prevent further problems. We were not unhappy with our previous agent, to whom we were transferred after our original agent retired long ago, and would not have thought of changing without the recommendation. But we had never met nor been invited to meet our previous agent, and there were some communication and follow-up glitches. In contrast Eric immediately wanted to meet us, reviewed all our policies with us, provided detailed information about various subtleties, asked worthwhile questions that we would not have known to ask, answered questions patiently, and made useful and understandable suggestions, and encouraged us to contact or visit his office anytime. Since then we have had occasion to call, phone or visit him several times. His responses have been consistently prompt and helpful. So far we're happy, and grateful for our friends' recommendation. April, 2020 addendum: About Thanksgiving we got a notice from our home insurer that our 2020 bill would be almost double the 2019 bill. After some deliberation we consulted with Mr. Kannal, and decided we would try to make sure all our openings were covered with either Dade approved impact windows or shutters, and that we otherwise qualified for various discounts. This required a lot of work in a short amount of time, with inspection needed before the insurance bill was due. We did work on doors, windows and interior and exterior electric, and arranged for inspection. Mr. Kannal was able to suggest good people and spent a lot of time guiding us through the process, and was consistently fast when a response or paperwork was needed. With his help we were able to get everything done before the deadline, and are now with Citizens with a bill about $2000 less than what we'd originally been quoted by our previous insurer.
