Autobahn Communication: An A+ team you can count on! Lots to love about living in Vero Beach, but being so far removed from the nearest Apple Store is an issue when the MacBook you depend on for your livelihood needs to be repaired. I discovered Autobahn Communication after a quick Google search and was pleased to find out it was the only authorized Apple Service Center in the area. And, it’s been around since 1995, so I decided to give them a try and save me a trip to Palm Beach Gardens or Orlando. At first glance, my repair seemed straightforward. Display had gone bad, the battery wouldn’t hold a charge as long as it used to and the keyboard was double/triple tapping keys. Being only three years old, it was worth it to repair the machine rather than purchase a new one. After discussing the cost and timeline, I felt confident Michael at Autobahn would take good care of me. Turns out Apple displays are hard to come by these days and I was informed it would be almost a month before the new display arrived from Apple. Michael assured me they would track shipment and keep me apprised of when repair was completed. He even went as far as to find a used display (at his own cost) to get me by until the new display arrived. Although the temporary display ended up having an issue of its own and didn’t work out, it was a very nice gesture. I found another solution to get me by as I patiently waited for my new display to arrive. After a couple of weeks, Michael reached out and my MacBook was ready, but the camera wouldn’t work. Apple deemed it was a defective display. They shipped a replacement and allowed me to use my computer until the new, new display arrived a week and a half later. I again took my machine in for a swap out and the same result. No camera - faulty display. Wild! This was now going on for almost a month and a half. Michael assured me they would get this right and Apple sent another display. Once again, I dropped off my MacBook when the new, new, new display arrived. I was hoping it would be the final time because all the back and forth had disrupted my workflow… Then things got worse. New display, same problem. No camera. After spending quite a bit of time with Apple, it was determined the logic board needed to be replaced. Michael did a great job of keeping me updated and said the logic board should do the trick. He’ll even get me the part at his cost and won’t charge me for the labor since this repair was dragging on for almost two months. We proceeded. New logic board arrived within a few days and Michael had everything working. Great! But… There was an issue with TimeMachine backup and my laptop now had to be wiped, reformatted and the original Mac OS had to be installed, then upgraded to the newest version. What?! On top of it all, my backup was a huge mass of data and despite it all being backed up on my cloud at work, still needed to be copied in its entirety in order to be reinstalled properly. This meant Michael had to copy everything to an external hard drive, take care of Mac OS install, then reload data. Unbelievable! After nearly two months, my MacBook was fully restored and carried Apple’s limited warranty for the new components. I’ve never had an experience quite like this before and if it wasn’t for Michael’s professionalism I could’ve easily lost my cool. However, Michael was there every step of the way with a solution and continuously followed through. My experience should’ve been a nightmare, but it ended up being great and I’m stoked to know there are still businesses out there willing to make things right despite how challenging the situation. Highly recommend them for their incredible access and remarkable, expedient service. I'm a physician who was traveling on vacation in Vero Beach. My iPhone screen froze after a system upgrade. Found them on Google. Shannon could not have been more professional and accommodating. Mark, the owner was clearly an expert with Apple devices. What was supposed to take 2-3 days was done within 6 hours when he found out I was a surgeon and needed the phone for patients. Pure class. Great experience and completely fair price for repair.

I called ahead of time to explain what was going on with my laptop. They didn’t answer right away however Shannon did call me back and leave me an informative voicemail. I unfortunately spilled water on my Mac and it was not allowing me to login. My greatest fear was losing the work I had been doing for the past couple of days and being able to transfer all my data to a new laptop, if necessary. It looks like I’ll need to completely replace it however Michael was still so helpful and hopeful in repairing it. He understood my time constraint and immediately started pre-diasgnostics. He didn’t want to do anything to jeopardize Apple’s ability to potentially transfer my information to a new laptop so he recommended I go there first and come back if I don’t have any luck. Regardless, I’m extremely grateful for their attentiveness and efforts and will likely come back if needed. Great service!

Hi, I have a Laptop Mac. By accident, I pressed that I'm a guest user. I can NOT get Microsoft Word anymore on my computer. The options below are all different as a Guest User. The computer tells me if I shut down, I will lose files.

Yes, unfortunately, that is the way "guest user" works - you CAN save your documents to a USB drive or to a cloud drive.
