We camped along the river so had that amazing sound at night. Bathrooms were very clean and camps were large and private. Nice location for many trails, too.

Yes. They very rarely close it. Google Tillamook State Forest and you can find the blog that they list any closures.
I think it is. I took my dodge ram out there and it was great. I'm taking the wrangler out there today so I'll post a review when I'm done. Should be great tho. They literally have a trail named Jeep Trail lol
