I realize that I'm a late to the game with this review but before using this company please ask them for references that are older than a year to ensure whatever they install will withstand the normal weather of south Florida. My patio is less than 4 years and the entire patio is leaking and it has had no recent damages due to inclement weather. This is my 2nd patio and the prior one which was destroyed by hurricane Irma lasted close to 15yrs without a leak. I don't expect them to warranty their work forever but due to where it is leaking this probably has been an ongoing issue prior to it encompassing the entire structure but wasn't noticeable. I will now need btw $2-3k to repair a structure that should have lasted more than 4 years.

Very very bad company , not professional, not responsible, just read other bad experience and it is exactly the same that happen to me, pay in advance many months delays , job not done properly , not enough clamps, eny strong wind will lift my pergola , and leaking ,cost to do it with another company removing roof , add clamp and re installed $ 1500 ( The Crate ) , Aluma did want to take the responsibility, and don't believe them if they answer this message saying I am sorry contact us. Bla bla we'll refund, please don't sign any contract with them, good luck

Stay away from them!! Got in a contract with them on December, paid in advance and after innumerable calls they started late May, took forever to finish, had to fight them several times over stuff done wrong, and when done, have several leaks, been calling them and no satisfactory answer. I'm currently looking to sue them in court. Giving the 1 star because I cannot give them 0. All in all, not worth the trouble, very someone else, can't be worse. Beware of Tony, the owner, he's a layer with no sense of duty or word.

This Company headed by Tony Requejo took deposit of $5200 for a patio on 6/16/2021, and they informed me the project would be delay because of supply chain issues, which I understood at the time. They even insisted that the initial payment must be in cash and I complied. On 11/3/2021, Aluma contacted me stating that the materials has arrived and the city has approved the permit application. A check for $5200 was issued to them based on their request for a second payment. They promptly cashed the check at a pawn shop (DD Pawn Loans) the same day. When I asked Tony Requejo why a check issued to a business was cashed at a pawn shop, he stated that he owned the pawn shop. Upon reviewing the record of the pawn store, I discovered that Mr. Requejo did not own it. Today is 06/15/2022, a year since Aluma received the first deposit and 6 months since the second payment was made and they have not completed the patio. This company did not even finalize the permit process. They finally asked the city to inspect the project after I informed them that my attorneys wanted a copy of the permit, and their permit application actually failed inspection twice!! Mr. Requejo has promised severally since April of this year that the project would be finished in 2 weeks to no avail. Whenever I asked him when the concrete would be poured, this fellow always come up with different stories every time, including rain, concrete shortage etc. I have asked them several times to refund my $10400 paid to them and they would not return it. Aluma Outdoor Designs and Tony Requejo are extremely unreliable and they represent a danger to the public. Do not deal with neither of them if you don't want an aggravation!!!

The price of an Alumawood patio cover compares similarly to the price of a painted wood patio cover (although redwood and cedar are considerably more expensive). The savings is in the maintenance costs over the years, as Alumawood never has to be repainted, never rots out, and never gets termites. Each cover has its own unique dimensions, requirements, and upgrades, but you can figure anywhere from $24 to $32 per square foot (installed). Freestanding covers are on the more expensive side, in that they utilize twice the amount of posts, headers, footings and end cuts.
They are built to withstand 156 mph winds in Broward County and 164 mph winds in Dade county

Yes! It’s Aluminum! If it gets dirty you can just hose it off! The solid covers are put together with a gentle slope away from the house and have a gutter and downspout system integrated into the design. Aluma Outdoor Designs considers them 100% waterproof in South Florida. Any drip or leak can easily be patched with a little extra caulking or flashing. Aluma Outdoor Designs will gladly return to patch or repair any Alumawood patio cover within the first year of installation.
