2nd order and install of Polywood shutters from Sunburst Shutters. Very pleased with entire process. Salesman Taylor and installer Jeff. Taylor was a pleasure to meet with during initial measurements and quote and seemed to genuinely enjoy what he does. Jeff arrived an hour early for this 2nd order and install of sliding door shutters and it became clear to me during the install that he was very qualified for this type of work as he quickly problem solved the uneven doors of this older condo. This was not due to poor/inaccurate initial measurements on Sunbursts part. Once Jeff had the shutter doors on it was apparent of a large gap on one side and a slight gap on the other. This is where Jeff’s experience came in as he patiently thought through several fixes and was able to make a precise fit by adjusting the upper track hardware and making a few saw cuts to the side trim panels. Before doing so he suggested he might need to cut into my wall slightly but completely avoided doing so and still had a perfect fit when completed. Five stars for Jeff. He was personable fast knowledgeable neat and had all needed equipment and tools on hand. Taylor also stopped in upon completion and took pics of the 1st order installed apx. 2 years ago on the front room windows. Those shutters are the same Polywood type that were installed today on the bedroom sliding doors. They are both beautiful and durable. The front window shutters (both slats and the full shutters) are opened and closed several times daily and all hardware remains intact free from rust/corrosion glides easily and remains quiet..no squeaking. I am very pleased with the look and quality of the product and will be calling Sunburst Shutters again for future projects and would welcome and request working with both Taylor and Jeff. A Sunburst rep will arrive at your home with lots of samples of our shutters and window treatments. Once you’ve made your choice, the rep will take window measurements so the window treatment can be customized. After a few weeks they will come back to install the shutters.
Our Polywood, Timberland, and Studio shutters are made in the US.
Our Polywood plantation shutters are built using a moisture resistant faux wood. They work well in bathrooms and kitchens because the humidity won’t warp the louvers.
Real wood shutters are are made with furniture-grade hardwood. Faux wood is a wood substitute. We use Polywood, which is sturdier than real wood. It won't warp, chip, or fade, and is moisture and termite resistant. Polywood also lasts much longer than vinyl or real wood.
Sunburst’s Polywood line of shutters has a lifetime warranty on the craftsmanship of the shutter. Our real wood shutters have a limited lifetime warranty on craftsmanship, a 5-year warranty on paint finishes, and a 2-year warranty on stain finishes.
