Ms. Ashley, The facility requires that the legally appropriate person signs a realease of medical records at the facility. This is done to maintain compliance with HIPPA. In most cases the facility meets with the person that is requesting the information to review it with them, and answer any questions about the information to review medical terminology, or abreviations that may be present, and to help the person find the information that they may have questions about. We are following the State of Tennessee Department of Health and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services for visitation. As there is a widespread outbreak of COVID-19 in the area we are limiting visitation but have made arrangements for virtual visitation for patients and families, and have many visits set up outside the building and window visits.
