Wonderful accomodations for our family of 30 plus people. We rented the Hoinville house, 3 cottages, and 2 lodge rooms. We also rented the lower bar and dining room one afternoon for our mom's 80th birthday celebration. Appetizers, drinks and service were great! Staff are friendly and accommodating

Overall a decent place to stay. Wish we would of used the outdoors more. We were visiting family in the area so gone most the day. If you plan on staying here, get a room with a stove. That would of been great for cooking breakfast. Other than the restaurant that's only opened for limited hours nothing really close by to eat and the snack store doesn't have much. Great place for hiking and ATV trails. Great atmosphere outdoors. Plenty of fire pits. Althogh they do not service your rooms daily. You just need to go to check in and ask for towels if you need them.

We had a wonderful time at Heartwood! We recently bought land in Minong and over the next year will be building a place to stay on our property. We will stay often while we get our spot set up. It’s only 10 minutes from Heartwood. It’s beyond exciting to have a place like this for all the activities and also place for family / friends to stay with us. This gem is tucked away in the Northwoods, where you'll be able to enjoy peace and quiet. The Hoinville House, where we always stay, has everything you need, just bring food. The kitchen accessories could be beefed up (a hodgepodge of tools and pots, pans), but it works. There is a lot to do here. We have only always visited in the winter months, but the summer has to be lovely with the lake and tons of outdoor amenities. In the winter, go cross-country skiing on their groomed trails, snowshoeing, or just hike. Ice skate or play hockey on the lake. There is a huge sledding hill with sleds/tubes provided. If you enjoy birding, you'll have fun. Too cold for you? Check out their main lodge, which has a ton of games, the restaurant, a small convenience shop, and hopefully soon the return of the hot tub!
