I LOVE this place…. WAYYYY too expensive

Very nice, well kept, facilities with a helpful friendly staff. After taking a tour I was absolutely sold. It was a little expensive, in my opinion, but for the use I had planned to get out of it, It still seemed like a fair dollar value. That being acknowledged, I was TREMENDOUSLY disappointed over a a few issues. First, it's the end of June and the club had been open for a month. Yet the membership cost isn't prorated at all to account for the lost time. I'd be giving away a third of the season. Speaking of membership costs, this entire club, from the membership fee to a bag of chips at the snack bar is cash only (or check). I couldn't even use my debit card if I wanted. I was so let down. My plan was to just put the club fees on my credit card and use THAT as a "payment plan." I was all set to, that minute, collect my kids and go swimming for the day. It's 2022, in an environment where, not only are most businesses set up for credit cards but also contactless payments, I managed to find the only one that doesn't accept any form of plastic. It's a real shame. Somerton Springs just let a thousand dollars plus a season of concession sales walk out the door because they're trapped in 1985.

I really enjoyed Somerton Springs for two reasons, there is an "adult pool!" And though many people like a heated pool, I don't. The cooler water temp is very comfortable especially on a 90+ degree humid day, which we get ALLOT of in this area. I will be looking into joining for July and August.
