The DPMS AR parts should fit perfectly with our rifles.
For deer, wild hogs, antelope, moose, elk, coyotes, DPMS g2 recon 308 is very strong. It's OK for goats up to 600 meters / yards away from the mountains. You'd be a little underfired black bear hunting, and a little underfired for dangerous game like grizzly bears & polar bears, lions, rhinos. The 308 is a very good size.
7.62x51 NATO is not as effective as the 308 Winchester ad. The surplus of NATO is OK as long as the gun is chambered for 308. In comparison with 223, the reverse is true for 5.56 NATO. 5.56 surplus should never be shot from a 223-marked weapon.
