Pretty good burgers and I'm a big fan of their cheese curds and truffle fries (in particular the garlic aioli). The burgers are more of the thicker patty variety, so while I like their 60/40 blend I prefer other burger places with a thinner patty.

I really love the red cow. Kind and speedy wait staff. Always professional. Food is great. Only critiques would be that the burgers are greasy and the tater tots have no flavor.

Today's luncheon was at the Red Cow, St. Paul location. Every person I encountered (from the host, server, to other wait staff) was incredibly friendly and the food was just as tasty as I had remembered it to be. I ordered the double barrel burger with fries and my friend ordered the Red Cow Salad with grilled chicken- both were delicious. This place has a cool, laid back vibe that serves up some of the best burgers (and salads) in town.

As always the food is fantastic. There is usually a wait to get a seat but we'll worth the wait. Excellent apps and burgers. I recommend the "Barcelona" with truffle fries. Extensive beer and drink selection. Will be back again soon.

I have Celiac disease. Is your kitchen preparation of gluten free items safe? IE: separate prep area and fryer for fries?

Stacie Moffitt | Mar 24, 2020

I have Celiac and am about to graduate with a BAS in dietetics and nutrition... they do gluten free very well here which puts me at ease while dinning there. Cross contamination is a concern for me. If you notify them of this and ask for seperate fryers they will use the GF fryers. The GF burger buns are not dry! We can eat fried items and they have a Moscow mule that is GF if you like to have a drink with dinner. Highly recommend.
