A yassified consignment store… very cute clothes but very overpriced & unnecessary.

I understand some things are vintage but they’re overpriced. There was a jacket that was literally stained all around and I asked to negotiate a price. The employee was rude and snotty, her response was “I can’t negotiate for THAT one” and went about her business eating her food. She didn’t apologize or give the common courtesy. On top of that, she refused to give eye contact and after paying for my items, she said “here you go” without offering a bag! Was I really supposed to walk out the store with the clothes in my hand?! I asked if I could get a bag and she rolled her eyes and took out a dingy, dirty target bag behind the register to put my clothes in. This was my second time in this store as someone visiting out of state but I definitely won’t be going back after this experience.

I’ll admit that some of the items upstairs are unique, but they are way too overpriced. I saw a Starter brand shirt (probably $5-10 at Walmart) being sold for $50 - there’s no way to justify that price. What they purport as vintage is just a ploy to upsell on outdated clothing items. If I wanted to pay these prices, I’d just go a regular retail store. As for the downstairs, yes, there may be deals but it’s all women’s clothing and has nothing as interesting as upstairs. How we’ve allowed businesses to market old items as vintage so they can overcharge is beyond me, but if these prices continue this way, I’d suggest investing your money in quality clothing at a renowned retail store.

Some of the upstairs items are a bit overpriced. But overall there are nice finds, especially in the $3 basement.

Since everything is $3 I don't see how a plastic shopping bag full of whatever is a deal. It's kinda annoying, really. I hate when they do it, because you have to make an appointment and who needs that?
yes!
