Not only is the food amazing but the opera singing is wonderful! We had an amazing dinner and the talent was unforgettable. If you have the chance to go do it!

Loved everything about The Victor Cafe. The food, service and atmosphere is top notch. Mix that with some live opera every 20 mins. Don't miss out on the upstairs lounge for a pre or post dinner cocktail

Excellent dining experience! Can’t wait to go back.

Absolutely Loved the place. This place gives you old school Italian restaurant vibe. Prior reservation will help you avoid the long wait. All the waiters and waitresses are super talented and will sing opera while patrons are enjoying their fabulous dinners. All the pasta specials were phenomenal, as well as the cocktails. Parking could be a problem in this area unless you are lucky to find one of the meter parking. Would highly highly recommend to anyone looking for a truly unique south Philly experience. Food. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Quantity ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Price. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We are happy to note requests, but as all the singing is voluntary, it is entirely at the discretion of the performer and whether it is appropriate or not. If you have a specific request, please make it known when you make your reservation.
Victor's previously did offer valet, but I'm not sure if it's been reinstated since reopening indoors. I don't recall seeing it on my last visit. Might be best to call to confirm if it's active currently.
No. However, you want to bring cash for a healthy tip for the servers who entertain you during your meal. They are all students of opera and sing some lovely Aria's while you eat.
Are you asking the restaurant folks or for my picture?
We are happy to bring aria requests to the attention of our staff! The tradition of singing was passed on to the staff in 1979. Our staff curate their own selections and perform at their own volition, so it usually depends on whether or not a singer has the aria prepared in their repertory. If you have a request, it is best to give notice before dinner and let either the reservationist or maître d’ know in advance. Thank you for your question!
We had a reservation for 16. We had the use of a room upstairs for cocktails before dinner. We sat at one long table for dinner downstairs. I believe that room would accommodate 30 people, but I don't think you would all be at one table. I would call to ask. Our family had a great time! They do have valet service for parking. I found a spot myself, but parking is a bit of an issue in that area.
Full bar service. Wine and liquor.
Good question I suggest before 12 am give them a call just to be sure that they will be open at that time
As long as your kids can stay quiet during the singing, yes.
Hi John, We are closed for a handful of holidays during the year. This is the second year we will be closed for an extended period around Labor Day due to renovations, maintenance, and improvements. We try not to close our doors unless necessary, but are not sure what the future holds as far as potential vacations or additional maintenance projects. Feel free to call the cafe if you have any more questions.
We recommend making reservations at least a week or two in advance, sometimes even farther out depending on the day of the week and time of year (October-December fills up quickly). We take reservations 10-12 months in advance and there is generally more availability if you reserve early on. If you are booking a party of 6 or more people, or if you have any questions, requests, arrangements, or special occasion notes for your reservation, it is best to call when our office is open 10 AM to 3 PM Monday through Friday. All other reservations can be made by our dining hosts when you call during the evening any day of the week. We personally follow up and call to confirm every reservation 1-2 days in advance and can send email confirmations as well.
I don't think it's a great place for young children, as they do ask for your attention and quiet it down/silence while they sing. So, I would say depending on your kids, this may not be a good place for them. Just a thought. :)
We usually Uber in and out. Makes it simple, but there is street parking close by.

Reservations are not required, however we strongly recommend them. There is a greater risk of excessive wait times without a reservation, especially on weekends, holidays, and during graduation season. Saturday evenings are typically completely booked, sometimes weeks in advance. If you're joining us with a larger party, please reserve in advance as special accommodations may be necessary. Note: Multiple reservations via OpenTable made for one group may be subject to cancellation. Please contact us directly if you have any questions! -Robyn, Dining Manager
Was there last night. Two people: two drinks, two entrees, one appetizer, no dessert was $76 plus tip. Took subway back downtown, $5. Not inexpensive, but it is an Incredible value.
1.5 oz vodka (grey goose, but any decent vodka would work), .5 oz lillet blanc, .5 oz st. Germain. Shake until very cold, strain into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with a wide piece of orange peel.
The cafe has been owned and operated by the DiStefano family since 1918. Gregory DiStefano is the current owner with Enrico (Rick) DiStefano, the general manager.
What happened to just calling them. It always works for me.
We were there on a week night and there was a mix of people who were dressed up and some that were not as fancy. We wore shorts but had nicer shirts on (polo instead of just t shirt)
