Best way to get to Atlantic City but don't rely on the jitney to get you back to the train station take a cab or Uber so you don't miss the train coming home

You can not eat on the trains. It is best to eat before getting onto any of the trains. It's ok to eat while on the platform but definitely not while riding on the train.

Not directly. The 450 bus stops at the Cherry Hill station. It runs to Camden or the Cherry Hill Mall. You could take the 450 bus to Camden and switch to PATCO to the Lindenwold station.
Your best bet is to go up to pennsauken transit center (next stop after cherry hill) and take the river line up to Trenton, then grab a train there. You can also ask conductors for advice. Most on the Atlantic city line are very friendly.
