Update: Town Appliance has contacted me and will be providing a replacement tomorrow, plus assisting us with the loss of food. People purchase from a local company like Town Appliance for their customer service, as opposed to a place like Home Depot etc. That's exactly what we received today, a call within 10 minutes that took care of the issue. Thank you for being so quick to respond and take action. - - - I had purchased a brand new freezer (Frigidaire) August 11th (one month ago). Yesterday it was completely defrosted and we threw out EVERYTHING. Town Appliance sent us to Electrolux (Frigidaire). A service rep informed me that the warranty only covers repairs and food loss is our loss. If you cannot provide food loss compensation to a 1 month old unit, what does that say about your products? Meanwhile, service repair can only come out in 8 days, I'm down a working freezer over the Holidays, and we now have lost prob $600 worth of frozen food that we needed to throw away. Additionally, there is supposed to be an alarm that alerts you when the temp rises, no such alarm every went off, otherwise, we would have been informed that something was not working and could have salvaged our food. We have a small 3 bedroom home and we would have for sure heard the alarm had it gone off. If Town Appliance was the company that sold us the freezer I would expect them to take care of this issue, and help us get reimbursed. I've had issues with Frigidaire freezers before and was informed e that there was nothing to worry about, and here we are one month later.

Update: I got a call from Town Appliance not only offering to refund me but also offering to reimburse me for the cost of the repair. I bought a washer/ dryer from them and sent pictures so they could tell me what hoses/ connectors I needed. I purchased all of the connectors from them but when the delivery people arrived, they said they couldn't do the job. I contacted the company multiple times to get a refund for the hoses that I paid for (but weren't left at our home) but they refused to do so.

Bought from them a whole package of appliances for my new house fabulous service everything was delivered in time which is something that doesn’t happen often these days but they were so on top of delivery and scheduling, service was impeccable and they have a whole department that helps you out with warranty service when needed they are so focused on making the customer happy, will only shop for appliances there in the future.
