I contacted Mariano with AdvantaClean to get a second opinion on mold remediation on a rental property. He has professional, responsible, and delivered a very competitive quote. I was very impressed with the work they did and have used them again on other properties (mold remediation, A/C duct cleaning). Mariano has always been honest with me and is my first call whenever dealing with mold or water damage. Highly recommend.

This company is fantastic. Talk about a WOW factor! They went above and beyond my expectations. They not only cleaned the ducts but even painted inside each vent with a microbial paint to protect against any mold that might form. AdvantaClean was so careful to place plastic under each vent and at the end vacuumed my house! The guys that came over were so courteous and kind and served us with a great big smile on their face. I highly recommend this company.

A stand alone dehumidifier will not kill Mold, but it will help to reduce the only factor we can control to prevent Mold growth: Humidity.
NADCA’s rule of thumb for consumers is that “if your air ducts look dirty, they probably are,” and that dirty HVAC systems should be inspected by a reputable, certified HVAC professional.
NADCA, the National Air Duct Cleaners Association on their ACR-2013 std recommends a 2 years HVAC Cleanliness Inspection for Residential systems and 1 year for Commercial systems. These inspections will determine if a duct cleaning is needed.
Usually a water damage job takes between 3 to 5 days.
There is no specific timeframe because it depends on the indoor conditions (temperature and humidity) and the type of Mold. But there is a consensus of 48-72 hour window between the water intrusion to prevent it to become grossly contaminated.
According to the CDC for people sensitive to molds, they can have nasal stuffiness, throat irritation, coughing or wheezing, eye irritation, or, in some cases, skin irritation. People with mold allergies may have more severe reactions. Immune-compromised people and people with chronic lung illnesses, such as obstructive lung disease, may get serious infections in their lungs when they are exposed to mold. These people should stay away from areas that are likely to have mold.
Mold is a natural occurrence, the problem starts when an indoor moisture intrusion allows to develop Mold in a significantly higher level than outdoors. Hiring a Professional and Licensed Mold Remediation Company which follows strict Remediation protocols, specific equipment and supplies the Mold spores are eliminated or reduced to Normal (outdoors) fungal levels.
It depends on the extent of the damage. During a Mold Remediation we have to setup a containment on the affected areas, this areas will remain closed and restricted during the air scrubbing process that usually takes between 2-5 days.
Usually a single room Mold Remediation process could take 3 to 5 days to complete.
During the wipe down stage of a Mold Remediation we use only EPA green Botanical Disinfectants.
