Also in 1878 Reverend John Curtis was the Reverend over the conformations of that era♡ in July of 1912 the church borrowed $900 to purchase land to build the church. But it was the sale of donated land by the legacy gift of Robert McCormick that made the 3 acre purchase for the site of the St.Columbkille school , sacred heart , and larger Church possible in the years to come , the school was built in 1916. A new church on Jefferson st. To accommodate the growing body of believers was built after 45 years , in 1982 the church was built.
