I’ve been with Balance chiropractic since April of this year. Saw them at a local event and decided to stop by the booth. Dr. Max and Dr. Matthew quickly educated me on the atlas and did a demonstration. Next thing I know I’m a patient. The environment is very chill and relaxing. It’s always clean, always smells good and is welcoming. All of the staff are phenomenal!! Two specific shoutouts…first to Holly-she is amazing. She’s always on top of things and always asking how things are going. She’s very personable. Second is Dr. Matthew-he’s adjusted me the most but he’s been personable from the beginning. He actually remembers conversations with me and follows up. He is genuine in every interaction with me and with other patients. He’s always laughing and talking to someone and he seems highly invested in his career and his patients. But like I said, all the staff are great! Lastly, the adjustments themselves are something I never knew I needed. I had been considering a traditional chiropractor before finding balance chiropractic. I was slightly skeptical at first that one tiny adjustment would pull my whole body into alignment. The adjustments work wonders! I started out pretty bad with a range of symptoms but as time has gone on I feel almost brand new. My body has also held my adjustments so often that I can tell when I need an adjustment now. I do wish they offered at least one early morning or one late night for adjustments (like before 8 am and after 6pm). It’s not the biggest deal because I make it work but just my suggestion.

The staff and doctors at Balance Chiropractic are amazing!! I have had two adjustments and spinal decompression and I feel improvements in my whole body. I'm looking forward to the treatment program, I'm so thankful I found this place! They offer a complimentary consultation, I highly recommend, this place is super!

Two and a half years ago I got very sick for one month, vomiting, diarrhea, high fever, sore throat head aches, upset stomach all the time, short breath, my heart felt like it was fluttering at times., dizzy spells. By the end of the month I had lost 50 lbs. Started getting better, but was left with head aches, short breath, upset stomach, dizzy spells at times and heart fluttering at times for the next 2 an a half years. A very good friend of mine, wife was being treated by Balance Chiropratic and having success. So my friend got me a gift certificate from Balance, he thought I might be helped by them. After running scans on me they found that my atlas was way out of adjustment from my skull, the bone that connects the spine to the skull pinching off nerves. With one adjustment the upset stomach, headaches , heart flutter were gone, the short breath was 70 percent better. I feel like I am finally on the mend after 2 an a half year of feeling badly. Thanks to Balance!!! I am now hopeful that I will continue to get better with their help! David Dixon.

Questions & Answers

If you don't pop twist or crack the spine, how do you perform your adjustments?

Christina Vander Vegt | Jun 11, 2022
Balance Chiropractic | Jun 11, 2022

After a through Foundational Examination of your spine and nervous system function, our doctors gently position you on your side in a specific position based upon your unique and measurable misalignment. 28 standardized steps are performed by our doctors to perform a gentle but powerful correction to the side of your neck. The pressure felt is generally less than one or two lbs!

Do you provide walk-in adjustments?

Christina Vander Vegt | Jun 11, 2022
Balance Chiropractic | Jun 11, 2022

Unlike traditional chiropractic offices that perform brief examinations and generalized adjustments, Balance Chiropractic performs a series of objective measurements to first gauge whether or not you’re a candidate and then we reperform those measurements to track your progress. Once your initial examination has been completed and you are accepted for care as a patient, walk in appointments are welcome, however as a new patient, setting up your complimentary consultation is required.

How much does it cost?

Balance Chiropractic | Jun 11, 2022

Costs vary upon each patients individual needs. The best way to get started at Balance Chiropractic is by setting up a complimentary consultation. During your consultation our doctors will share all possible costs associated with care based upon your specific case.

If I am under your specialized care, am I still allowed to see my traditional chiropractor, massage therapist, or physical therapist?

Christina Vander Vegt | Jun 11, 2022
Balance Chiropractic | Jun 11, 2022

Absolutely! Our doctors recommend and use all sorts of body work and therapy. The only thing we require is that no spinal manipulation or cracking is performed on your neck.

Do you provide mobile chiropractic services?

Christina Vander Vegt | Jun 11, 2022
Balance Chiropractic | Jun 11, 2022

Due to our unique form of chiropractic care that requires specialized equipment for a proper analysis and correction, we are unable to provide mobile care. Many of our patients travel from out of town or out of state to receive treatment. For patients that travel, we have created partnerships with local hotels to lower costs.

You say that there is no popping twisting or cracking... does your type of adjustment hurt?

Our Corrections are incredibly gentle, however, at the beginning of care patients often experience something called "Progressive Correction." Progressive Correction is the act of your body healing through old injuries and illnesses due to it being in proper alignment! It is usually short in intensity and duration, but sometimes can be uncomfortable. Thank you for the question!

Do I need a referral from my Primary Care doctor to see you?

Eric Z | Oct 9, 2020
Balance Chiropractic | Oct 9, 2020

Although we have great working relationships with several Primary Care Physicians in Colorado Springs, you do not need a direct referral to request an appointment at Balance Chiropractic. Thank you for the question!

Have you helped people with things like Trigeminal Neuralgia and POTS?

Eric Z | Oct 9, 2020
Balance Chiropractic | Oct 9, 2020

Although we do not directly treat the secondary conditions (symptoms) of trigeminal neuralgia or POTS, when our doctors finely tune the spinal area nearest the brain stem (where trigeminal nerve and vagus nerve originate), we have seen most of our patients with similar diseases act, feel and heal MUCH better. Thanks for the question!

Do you see/adjust children?

Eric Z | Oct 9, 2020
Balance Chiropractic | Oct 9, 2020

Absolutely! Our goal is to help the Colorado Springs community thrive with Foundational Correction, and to do that best it all starts with the family!

Can you work with my doctor to find the best plan of action?

Eric Z | Oct 9, 2020
Balance Chiropractic | Oct 9, 2020

We know that Foundational Correction is fantastic, but no single treatment of any sort is the solution for all of life's aches and pains... Our doctors aim to create a community of health and healing which often means reaching out to primary care, dental, and physical therapy professionals to communicate and collaborate on how to best help our patients!

Have you helped people that have had migraine headaches their whole life?

Eric Z | Oct 9, 2020
Misty Mercer | Oct 9, 2020

I have migraines myself and going to Balance Chiropractic has helped with them tremendously.

Does your office accept insurance?

Eric Z | Oct 9, 2020
Balance Chiropractic | Oct 9, 2020

Insurance is great for a quick fix or patching an issue (If that is what you want please call and we'd be happy to refer you to a more traditional Chiropractic office...). The goal of Foundational Correction is to correct the underlying cause, so unfortunately we are out of network with insurance companies. Thank you for asking!

What makes your services different from traditional chiropractic?

Eric Z | Oct 9, 2020
Balance Chiropractic | Oct 9, 2020

Most traditional chiropractors goal is to pop and crack the spine in the areas that hurt to temporarily patch the pain. Balance Chiropractic performs something called Foundational Correction, where we precisely tune the brain body connection without popping or cracking. We use 4 objective measurements that all have a range of normal and abnormal (much like blood pressure, vision and body temperature) to both see if you are a candidate for Foundational Correction, and to measure your progress through your unique correctional process. Many chiropractors either tell patients to "come back when it hurts again," or prescribe a series of adjustments similar to "3x/week for 10 weeks, then 2x/week for 8 weeks then 1x/week for 6 weeks." - At Balance, we base your frequency off your progress. Which means that when you hold your alignment 2 office visits in a row, we reduce your frequency to the next time tier. Our goal is to have you go as far in between corrections as possible
